The Combating Terrorism Center’s monthly publication, CTC Sentinel, was recently highlighted in an Army article following the publication of its special series on biological threats—a joint collaboration of the CTC and the Department of Chemistry and Life Science at West Point.

Released in April and May 2022, the two-volume set features insight and analysis from leading scholars and analysts from the counterterrorism, policy, and scientific communities. Topics include possible exploitation of viral agents, the impact of COVID-19 on bioterrorism, novel risks across the rapidly evolving bio landscape, and ways to strengthen biorisk management globally. The issues also featured interviews with the former director of the Office of Pandemics and Emerging Threats at HSS, the executive director of the Innovative Genomics Institute, and the former director general of the Israel Institute for Biological Research.
