In mid-April 2018, the Combating Terrorism Center marked the 10th Annual FDNY-CTC Crisis Simulation Exercise held at FDNY headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. Cadets worked alongside members of FDNY to react to a simulated cyber attack with physical effects.
Run by Chief Joe Pfeifer, CTC Senior Fellow and Chief of FDNY’s Counterterrorism and Emergency Preparedness, and CTC Deputy Director Brian Dodwell, this event serves as the capstone exercise for SS464 Homeland Security. The cadets also got to hear from FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro, FDNY Chief James Leonard, and Department of Social Sciences head COL Suzanne Nielsen.
