On September 17, 2020, the Combating Terrorism Center published one of its most significant products of the year: an analysis of three declassified interrogation reports from 2008 on the Islamic State’s current leader, Amir Muhammad Sa’id ‘Abd-al-Rahman al-Mawla. The article provided new insight into al-Mawla’s personality, character, and motives.
One year later, in an effort to make its content more widely available as a permanent resource across audiences, the CTC released the Arabic language version of that article. Moving forward, CTC aims to provide more Arabic translations of newly released products to ensure their widest accessibility to experts, academics, and practitioners around the world.
