Meet Nicholas McDonald, the CTC Cadet of the month for October 2021. Nick comes from Linden, Michigan, and is the son of Michael and Amy McDonald. At West Point, he is majoring in American Politics with a minor in Terrorism Studies. Additionally, Nick is a Platoon leader for Company B2, the Cadet in Charge of the Marathon Club, a member of the Cyber Policy Team, and loves to travel when he can.
Since joining the Terrorism Studies minor, Nick has had the opportunity to intern with the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C. He learned, and actively participated in, intelligence analysis and synthesis for the Department of Defense. He was also able to visit the National Counterterrorism Center, and the Pentagon while he was in D.C.
Nick hopes to serve as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. Beyond that, he aims to either stay in the army or pursue a career in law enforcement.
