On 1 November, over two dozen cadets in the CTC’s Homeland Security course traveled to FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, to participate in a crisis management exercise designed and led by the FDNY. The focus of this functional exercise was a simulated cyber-attack impacting Manhattan, and the cadets—as part of an Incident Management Team—were tasked with developing and coordinating a successful response to the event. This exercise, held each semester for cadets in SS464: Homeland Security and Defense, underscores the important and enduring partnership between the FDNY and CTC.
