Meet Cadet Sebastien Bautista, the CTC Cadet of the Month for December 2024. Sebastien was born in England but immigrated to California in 2008 when he was 5 years old. Growing up, he took a heavy interest in the military as he had a fascination with studying military history and always admired soldiers who answered the call to serve, and wanted to one day join the ranks of the people he looked up to. Sebastien learned about West Point early on in high school and made it his goal to attend the United States Military Academy.
Upon entering West Point, Sebastien selected Defense and Strategic Studies as his major and decided to minor in Terrorism Studies. He has been on the West Point Paintball team all four years and is currently the team captain. Since joining the Terrorism Studies minor, he has had the opportunity to intern at the FBI in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked with different agents from various fields such as tech, SWAT, bomb units, and the Behavioral Analysis Unit, among others.
Sebastien, who branched infantry, will graduate from West Point in May 2025.
