On 21 June, the Combating Terrorism Center briefed General Raymond A. Thomas, III, commander of U.S. Special Operations Command. CTC Director LTC Bryan Price provided GEN Thomas with an overview of the Center’s most recent research efforts, to include its examination of the Islamic State’s media efforts and foreign fighter capacity. The CTC also briefed GEN Thomas on its hostage research.
