CTC Senior Fellow Michael A. Sheehan has been appointed as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict, for the Department of Defense. Ambassador Sheehan has played an important role for the CTC as a senior fellow for the past 3 years, teaching cadets, mentoring Center staff, and providing key insights from his years of experience to help shape the Center’s research and educational programs for the operational fight against terrorism. This position is a great honor for Ambassador Sheehan and his family. Ambassador Sheehan’s experience and expertise will be of great value to this administration.
