Meet CDT Daniel Gibbons, the CTC Cadet of the Month for November. At West Point, CDT Gibbons is an International Relations major and a Terrorism Studies minor. Hailing from Paris, Texas, Daniel spends his free time reading, working out, watching football, and beating his friends in fantasy football.
With the CTC, Daniel has pursued classes in insurgency and counterinsurgency, as well as national security. He has especially enjoyed the broadening experiences offered by the CTC. Daniel also spent three years as a member of West Point’s intercollegiate baseball team.
CDT Gibbons plans to commission in December as an Infantry officer. After graduation, he will attend the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, and subsequently will be stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. In the future, Daniel aims to use his knowledge from the CTC to work in a federal law enforcement organization, focusing in counterterrorism or counterintelligence.
