On 29 December, The New York Times published an article on Usman Raja, chief executive and co-founder of the Unity Initiative based in the United Kingdom. His organization works to rehabilitate and reintegrate former violent extremists. The article, “A Cage Fighter With a Soft Touch for Hard-Core Jihadists,” was written by David D. Kirkpatrick and outlines the approach employed by Raja and the Unity Initiative.
