The Irregular Warfare Group recently concluded its annual Unconventional Warfare Exercise, which took place in Esopus and Hyde Park, New York, and for the first time took place over several days. From 31 March to 2 April, over 60 USMA and USMAPS cadets as well as faculty from the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic and the departments of Social Sciences, Chemistry and Life Science, and Military Instruction participated in the off-post exercise. Led this year by MAJ Steve Ferenzi and MAJ Alex Deep, the UWE is a unique opportunity to expose cadets to the practical application of military advising, UW doctrine, and adaptive thinking scenarios.
