For the second year in a row, a faculty member from the Combating Terrorism Center has earned the Department of Social Sciences’ Murdy Award for Teaching Excellence. Last year’s recipient was Mr. Gabriel Koehler-Derrick who was rewarded for his phenomenal work teaching International Relations, Politics and Government of the Middle East, and our flagship class on Terrorism. This year’s recipient was Dr. Daniel Milton. In addition to teaching Terrorism and Homeland Security/Homeland Defense, Dr. Milton also served led the CTC’s Downing Scholarship program which provides active duty officers with the opportunity to attend elite graduate schools throughout the world and interact with the CTC, our research, and our faculty.
