On 23 November, the Combating Terrorism Center welcomed members of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for a briefing on its most recent work. The NGA guests also discussed opportunities for increased collaboration between the two entities. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which was created in 2003 from other existing agencies and is headquartered in Springfield, Virginia, operates as both an intelligence agency and a combat support agency. The NGA provides policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals, and first-responders with imagery of and geospatial information on the physical features and geographically referenced activities on Earth.
