Julika Enslin is a Resident Fulbright Fellow at the CTC. Originally from Germany, Julika was selected as a Foreign Fulbright Student to study in the U.S. in 2022. She previously graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Science in Foreign Service. Julika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin where she focused on conflict studies, politics in the MENA region and IR. She also studied Arabic and spent two semesters abroad in Egypt during her undergraduate degree. Julika has experience working at the UN in the 1267 and 1988 sanctions committees against Al-Qaida, Da’esh and the Taliban. She also worked as a Student Research Assistant on Germany’s Rule of Law promotion projects and in the department for security and defense policy at the German Council on Foreign Relations.
Her research interests include transatlantic cooperation in counterterrorism, violent right-wing extremism, foreign fighters and terrorist recruitment strategies.
