Major Peter Kerkhof was born in Houston, TX. He graduated from West Point in 2011 with a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics and was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer. As a Lieutenant, Peter served in Korea as a Company Executive Officer and later as an intelligence officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

As a Captain, Peter was an intelligence officer in the 2d Cavalry Regiment in Germany. There, he served as an intelligence officer for a Stryker Infantry Squadron, commanded the Military Intelligence Company, and deployed as the senior intelligence officer for the first iteration of NATO Battle Group Poland, the U.S. contribution to NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence. Peter then served with SOCOM in the National Capital Region.

Peter is currently a student in the Security Studies Program at the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. He is married to the former Aerin Hohensee of Nashua, New Hampshire; they have two sons and two daughters.
