Major Mike Williams graduated from Xavier University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and commissioned as an Infantry Officer. Major Williams deployed eight times to Iraq and Afghanistan and served with the 172nd Stryker Brigade; 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Joint Special Operations Command; 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division; and 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

Major Williams’ military schooling includes the U.S. Naval Command and Staff College, Infantry Maneuver Captains Career Course, Infantry Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Military Freefall Parachutist Course, Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course, and the Joint Firepower Course. Major Williams is currently attending the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University where he is pursuing a Master of Public Policy. Major Williams and his wife, Katie, have three children.
