
Colonel Jody Daigle graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2002 and began his career with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). As an Infantry officer, he deployed to Iraq as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Action Officer for the Multi-National Force–Iraq Strategic Operations Center.
After completing the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2008, COL Daigle led Operational Detachment Alpha 1115 and served as Assistant Operations Officer for 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne). He then served as Company Commander and Battalion Executive Officer with 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne).
His deployments in Special Forces included Liaison Coordination Element Team Leader in the Philippines; J5 for CJSOTF–Iraq; Deputy Chief of Staff for SOJTF–Operation Inherent Resolve; Special Operations Liaison Officer to India; and Deputy Commander for Joint Task Force Indo-Pacific. He additionally served with the U.S. State Department at embassy posts in the Philippines and China.
From 2020 to 2024, COL Daigle commanded the Special Operations Recruiting Battalion and subsequently the Joint Special Operations Command Sustainment Unit.
COL Daigle holds master’s degrees from the United States Army War College, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and Harvard Kennedy School. His military decorations include the Master Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Special Operations Diver Badge, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, Army Recruiter Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, and foreign jump wings from South Korea and Thailand.
