Major Dave Webb attended United States Military Academy at West Point, focusing studies on Leadership and Systems Engineering, before graduating in 2003 and commissioning as an Officer in the Infantry Branch.

Major Webb’s assignments include Stryker Rifle Platoon Leader in the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment; Ranger Rifle Platoon Leader in the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Assistant Operations Officer in the 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division; Rifle Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment; and Training Officer and Ranger Rifle Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.  Major Webb has deployed to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan a total of nine times.

Major Webb’s military schooling includes the Infantry Officer’s Basic Course, the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Airborne School, Ranger School, and Jumpmaster School.  His awards and decorations include two Meritorious Service Medals, three Bronze Star Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, five Army Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal, the Ranger Tab, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Airborne and Senior Parachutist Wings,  and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

Major Webb and his wife Tanya have three children and currently reside in Palo Alto, California where Major Webb is working toward a Masters Degree in International Policy Studies at Stanford University.
