Captain Rudy Weisz graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2012 with a BS in Economics and Russian. Commissioned as an Infantry officer, his first assignment was in the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team where he served as a Weapons Platoon Leader, Weapons Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer. While there, Rudy deployed in support of Operation Fearless Guardian to Ukraine.

As a Special Forces officer, Rudy was assigned to 10th Special Forces Group. He deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. The second time, as Detachment Commander of SFOD-A 0215, he conducted combat operations across seven provinces. Most recently, Rudy served as an instructor at the Maneuver Captains Career Course.

Captain Weisz’s military education includes Ranger School, the Special Forces Qualification Course, Military Free Fall School, Combat Diver Qualification Course, and Combat Diving Supervisor’s Course. His awards include the Combat Infantryman Badge, two Bronze Star Medals, and one Meritorious Service Medal.
