Captain Rahul Singh is a native of Freeport, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010 with a B.S. in Finance. He commissioned through the Officer Candidate School as an Infantry Officer and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. As a lieutenant, Rahul served as an Assistant Operations Officer and Reconnaissance Platoon Leader, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
As a Special Forces Officer, Rahul was assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) in Okinawa, Japan where he served as a Detachment Commander and Assault Force Commander. Rahul has deployed and conducted operations throughout Asia to include the Philippines, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.
Rahul’s military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course, Special Operations Forces Captains Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, Ranger School, Military Freefall School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, and the Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Acquisition Exploitation Techniques Course (SFARTAETC).
