Captain Kevin Mott attended United States Military Academy at West Point, focusing studies on Spanish and Arabic, before graduating in 2007 and commissioning as an Officer in the Infantry Branch.

Captain Mott’s assignments include Rifle Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment; Recon Platoon Leader in the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment; Assistant Operations Officer in the 3rd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment; Stryker Rifle Company Commander in the 3rd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment; and HHC Brigade Company Commander in the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team. Captain Mott has deployed to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan a total of three times.

Captain Mott’s military schooling includes the Infantry Officer’s Basic Leader Course, the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, and Ranger School. His awards and decorations include the Silver Star Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, the Ranger Tab, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Airborne Wings, Air Assault Wings, and the Pathfinder Torch.

Captain Mott and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child and currently reside in El Paso, Texas where Captain Mott remains in Company Command.
