Captain Justin W. Crocker attended The Ohio State University from 2001 to 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. After receiving his commission and completing the Infantry Officer’s Basic Course, Captain Crocker was assigned to 1st Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood Texas. As a Rifle Platoon Leader, Captain Crocker deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 from November 2007 to February 2009.

Captain Crocker attended the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course in 2009 and later completed the Special Forces Detachment Officer Qualification Course in 2011. Upon graduation, Captain Crocker was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) as served as the Detachment Commander for Operational Detachment – Alpha (ODA) 3116. Captain Crocker deployed with his ODA to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XIX from September 2012 to May 2013.

Upon redeployment, Captain Crocker was selected to command Headquarters and Support Company, 1st BN, 3rd SFG(A) and assumed command in June 2013. Captain Crocker deployed his company in support of OEF XXII, where he served as the Support Center Director for Special Operation Task Force – Northeast from April 2014 to November 2014.

Captain Crocker is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic Course, the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, the Special Forces Detachment Officer’s Qualification Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Air Assault School, and SERE School. His decorations include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Expert Infantryman’s badge, the Special Forces Tab, the Ranger Tab, the Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, the Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Campaign Stars), and the GWOT Service Medal.

Captain Crocker is married to the former Adrian M. Dauby of Tell City, Indiana.
