Ethan Kneibel enlisted in the Michigan Army National Guard in 2010 and served as a medic in the 1st Squadron 126th Cavalry Regiment where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Following graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2017, CPT Kneibel reported to the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Assault Platoon Leader, Weapons Company Executive Officer, Battalion Air Operations Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer.
After a deployment in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and the Maneuver Captains Career Course, CPT Kneibel served as a Brigade Assistant Operations Officer for 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and as a Battalion Plans Officer for 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment before commanding an Infantry Rifle Company in the same unit in 2023.
CPT Kneibel’s military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Maneuver Captains Career Course, and the Combat Diver Qualification Course.
He is married to his wife, Captain Chelseyrae Kneibel, and together they have two sons.
