Captain Chris Smith is a native of North Wales, PA. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2014 and commissioned as an Infantry Officer. His first assignment was with the 25th Infantry Division where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer.
As a Special Forces Officer, Chris served as a Detachment Commander and Company Commander in 3rd Special Forces Group. While at 3rd Group, he deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He most recently served as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General of 1st Special Forces Command.
His military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leader’s Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Special Operations Forces Captains Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, Military Free Fall School, and Jumpmaster School. Chris and his wife, Elaine, have four children.
