CTC Director MAJ Bryan Price presented a paper entitled, “Designated Haters: Evaluating the Effectiveness of Foreign Terrorist Organizations,” at the 55th Annual International Studies Association Conference in Toronto, Canada. The paper is part of a larger project on evaluating the State Department’s Foreign Terrorist Organizations list and the Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Global Terrorist list. MAJ Price also chaired a panel on “Explaining Counterterrorism Policy” which featured several leading terrorism experts, including Dr. Martha Crenshaw (Stanford University) and. Dr. Clark McCauley (Bryn Mawr College).
