This document is part of a 169 Arabic-language page book written by Mustafa Hamid (Abu’l Walid al-Masri) titled “Betrayal on the Road,” which is part of broader series titled “Chatter on the World’s Rooftop.” The document is a detailed, first-person narrative of events that occurred in Afghanistan and Pakistan, starting from 1988. In the document Abu’l Walid chronicles some of the daily events of the war between the mujahidin and the Soviet Union, including war causalities and the withdrawal of the Red Army from Afghanistan.
