On 9 June, the Combating Terrorism Center’s director, LTC Bryan Price, was published in one of the premier peer-reviewed academic journals, Terrorism and Political Violence. His article, “Terrorism as Cancer: How to Combat an Incurable Disease,” examines terrorism via an “epidemiological approach that views it as a chronic disease like cancer rather than as a military, ideological, or socio-economic problem” and thereby reveals possible alternative approaches to dealing with the phenomenon.
