Mr. Brendan McGuire, an Assistant US Attorney and Chief of the Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit out of the Southern District of New York, visited the CTC today. As a special guest speaker in MAJ Price’s Combating Terrorism class on counterterrorism law, Mr. McGuire spoke about his recent experiences in several high-profile terrorism cases, including cases against al Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Gayth, Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, and those involved in the 1998 East Africa Embassy bombings.
