
Major Ned Curry is a native of Annapolis, Maryland and teaches courses in Terrorism and International Relations in the Department of Social Sciences at West Point. An Army Reserve Intelligence Officer, Ned previously worked for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the State Department (2019-2025). His active-duty service includes serving as a Senior Watch Officer in the Intelligence Directorate for U.S. European Command (2018-2019) and deploying to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn (2011).
Ned holds an M.A. in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London and a B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, where he also minored in Terrorism Studies. His research focuses on counterterrorism strategy, hybrid and non-state armed groups, and proxy warfare.
