On Tuesday, August 19th 2014, the Combating Terrorism Center’s Muhammad al-‘Ubaydi participated in the War Council panel organized by the Defense & Strategic Studies (DSS) program at West Point about this summer’s three big defense challenges: Gaza, Ukraine, and the Islamic State (IS). He presented on the evolution of the IS, the challenges it poses and possible strategies to counter it.
