President Bush’s State of the Union Address in January of 2002 marked Hizballah as one of the primary targets of future American attention. Many government officials and terrorism experts rank Hizballah as the greatest threat to American interests and security, particularly interests in the Middle East. In order to figure out why, we must reacquaint ourselves with Hizballah – not only the organization’s anti-American actions and rhetoric, but its history, maturation and ideology.
